Ewok’s back!

Soleil “Ewok” Wheeler recently signed an exclusive return deal on Twitch following her short stint at Mixer.

Details, including the financial aspect of the agreement, were not fully disclosed.

Ewok, who is known for her Fortnite skills, previously left Twitch in favor of Mixer following the steps of fellow streamers Ninja and Shroud.

But when the now-defunct live streaming platform announced its decision to fully integrate with Facebook Gaming instead, lots of Mixer talents were stuck in limbo as they took the next steps in their career.

While many streamers decided to transition over to Facebook Gaming (with a generous assistance package), others decided to part ways and sign with other platforms instead, such as YouTube and Twitch.

Twitch return

Her first stream back on Twitch was met with a positive response. More than 20,000 viewers watched Ewok play Fortnite and Fall Guys on her return broadcast.

In an interview with ESPN, she says:

“I decided to return to Twitch because the platform has a vast network, and I had already established a community there before switching over to Mixer,”

“It’s also the best platform for me to continue building my brand. I also miss Twitch Rivals and meeting people that have supported me since day one.”

She took it to Twitter to thank her audience for the overwhelming support:

“idk what to say… absolutely insane stream! Thanks for all of your love and support! 🥰”

Fans were quick to congratulate Ewok for her successful return stream:

“So happy for you!!! <3" "I’m glad you were back on twitch streamer!" "Very glad to see u back Ewok!!" “It was great !! Loved it” She has streamed on Mixer for nearly a year before the platform was pulled off-air on July 22. Although she parted ways with the Microsoft-owned platform, she still fondly considers her Mixer stay as something she'll cherish for the rest of her career: "Mixer is a part of my journey that I will always cherish. I learned from the community there, and they helped me grow as a streamer." Ewok also says she feels nostalgic returning to Twitch once again, and hopes to return to the platform even stronger. Wheeler is a content creator for eSports organization FaZe clan, being the first female to sign with the group in such a capacity. She was the second person under the age of 14 to sign with FaZe, after “H1ghSky1” who was scouted at 11. Last year, she joined other prominent Twitch streamers who signed exclusive contracts with Mixer, such as Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.
