Challenge gone wrong
The YouTube superstar recently revealed a “challenge gone wrong” is the reason why he hasn’t uploaded consistently.
In fact, he has only posted around four videos for last month.
This lack of content piqued the curiosity of many, as they formed their own fan speculation on the many possible reasons.
Jimmy “Mr Beast” Donaldson’s channel is one of the most-watched in the world, garnering over 43 million subscribers and 7 billion total views.
It’s only natural for his channel to be continuously updated with new content if he wants to stay on top— which is why it seemed odd that his channel only had four videos uploaded since 15th August.
Thanks to his latest video titled “Why I haven’t been uploading”, curious fans now know the reason why he’s gone sort of MIA.
Completely backfired
Turns out, Donaldson’s challenge in early August completely backfired when he told fans he would sign every single limited edition t-shirt he would sell.
“This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life… I suffered to make the best content possible for you guys.” He said in his recent upload.
Challenging the internet with a unique, “crazy” proposal is something MrBeast usually does, as he announced in a humorous August 2 live stream that he would sign every single limited edition T-shirt every time someone bought one.
With his massive influence, the demand for MrBeast merch grew rather overwhelming. The YouTube star ended up physically signing over 68,000 shirts in total.
The particular project took around twelve days to complete. MrBeast says he needed to sign all the shirts to raise money for his upcoming 40M subscriber special.
The task, which one can only imagine, turned out to be very excruciating. Donaldson even had to go as far as hiring a psychical therapist to help ease his muscular pain and shoulder cramps.
In a tweet, he also revealed how the busy task made him postpone at least three videos that would’ve gone up on his YouTube channel otherwise.
“I had to cancel 3 videos because this is project to last 7 to 10 days! Assuming I’m signing for over 10 hours a day 😅”
