Riot reveals Singularity, the first Exclusive Edition skin line for VALORANT

Powerful, abstract, and mysterious— Riot’s first Exclusive Edition skin line for VALORANT is coming.

Called as Singularity, the next skin line will help kick off VALORANT Act III.

A brand new Act usually means adding a new agent into the game, but Riot already confirmed the next Agent “Skye” won’t be joining the roster at least until midway through the season.

However, players can explore the game’s fifth and latest map, Icebox.

Exclusive skin line

Joining Valorant’s growing cosmetic collection, Singularity will be made available soon as the game’s first Exclusive Edition skin line.

The purple-themed, glowing skin line is available for the Sheriff, Spectre, Phantom, and Ares. It also has an exclusive themed knife as the melee weapon for the set.

Given that Singularity is an Exclusive Edition skin line, each gun is individually priced at 2,175 VALORANT Points. Meanwhile, the knife will cost players some 4,350 VP.

The whole bundle is set to cost 8,700 VP.

Riot explains in a press release:

“Singularity exists in a far future, vast in its journey from the beyond. Powerful, abstract, and mysterious. None know where it came from or how it came to be.”

“Harness its unstable force on the Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre, Ares, and Melee when you buy the Singularity bundle.”

Bundle perks

For players who will buy the bundle, they will also get exclusive freebies such as the Singularity player card, spray, and gun buddy.

They will also get the melee weapon for free if they purchase the bundle.

Purple-themed, glowing esthetic

The skins feature a beautiful, purple glowing colorway with a futuristic, abstract aesthetic in each gun.

Upon shooting any of the guns, a small black hole will appear at the barrel’s tip. When reloading, the weapon also splits open for a few seconds.

Each gun in the new skin line has special sound effects whenever it’s inspected, reloaded, or shot.

Finisher effects

The finisher for Singularity might be one of the most compelling reasons for players to want to purchase the skin line.

Upon securing the last kill, a galaxy appears around the body and the enemy player is sucked into a black hole which pops up amid the animation.

It’s a glorious way to finish a round, with easy bragging rights— and serves as a strong addition to the beautiful skin line.

Not the most expensive

Fortunately, the new Exclusive Edition skin isn’t the most expensive set sold on Valorant thus far.

In case you missed it, the Elder Flame collection which transformed certain weapons into living dragons that spit out fire and fury previously cost a whopping 2,475 VP. The bundle itself cost 9,900 VP.
