TimTheTatman’s Team Delta wins star-studded Valorant LG UltraGear Faceoff

The Valorant LG UltraGear Faceoff event pit big names and known FPS streamers against each other, in order to determine which game is the best experience to dominate Riot’s 5v5 tactical shooter.

Valorant continues to dominate the gaming industry and its professional eSports scene is only growing with the announcement of First Strike, which comes after the first Ignition Series.

Star-studded

LG collaborated with Tempo Storm on October 3 to determine who has the best Valorant FPS skills, with experienced participants from titular games like CSGO, Call of Duty, Overwatch or Fortnite.

The Riot 5v5 tactical shooter is often said to be a mix of CS:GO and Overwatch, featuring tactical gunplay and hero abilities for each Agent.

However, which FPS gamer has the biggest advantage on Valorant?

How it works

Participants will be spearheaded by a captain with a different background in FPS gaming. For instance, former professional Overwatch player and Twitch streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel will lead the Overwatch team.

Here’s a list of the participating streamers and competitive players:

Results

With four teams battling it out, each group experienced in a popular FPS esport, Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar’s Team Delta was crowned as victors— representing Call of Duty.

Team Delta’s victory was not an easy landslide. In the opening match, Team Striker had a close match with the team considering Delta’s initial lead.

The upper bracket final saw Team Survival and Team Delta going head-to-head with 5-5, before the CoD squad took control of the map which secured them a spot in the grand finals.

With the elimination of Team Survival in the lower bracket final, the Counter-Strike team made their return to the bracket. The grand final saw the opening rematch against Team Delta.

A pressing rivalry composed the LG UltraGear Valorant Face-Off grand finals. Fans wanted to see the Operator rivalry between WARDELL and ShahZaM in the grand finals.

WARDELL dropped 29 kills on Jett, but ShahZaM was just close with 26 on Sova. Neither of the team could build up a strong, easy lead.

Team Striker reached the match point 12-11 first, but a 3K from HusKerrs eventually forced the match to go into overtime. After one squad wipe and a defusal, Team Delta successfully secured a 14-12 score, thus winning the match and securing the championship title in the LG UltraGear FaceOff.

If you missed the action, fortunately you can still watch the VoDs on the LG UltraGear’s Twitch channel.
