Alinity breaks down in tears due to overwhelming internet hate

Online personalities may smile and continue to act normal despite the consistent hate thrown their way… but there’s only so much one can take.

They are only human, after all.

Such was the case of Alinity, who despite succeeding in acting tough versus online trolls, broke down in tears in front of the camera as she revealed how internet hate affects her personally.

A history of controversies

Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon is no stranger to controversy. Her name has been trending on social media platforms regarding her past mistakes and online mishaps.

During a July 2 stream, she got personal as she revealed the “overwhelming” level of harassment she has received for her controversies.

Last year, Alinity received backlash when she was caught tossing her pet cat across the room in a live stream.

Another incident involved a malicious crotch sniffing scenario with her dog.

Aside from that, the Twitch streamer also allegedly used racial slurs and got away with a NSFW wardrobe malfunction without any major repercussions.

Despite saying she wants to move forward and learn from her mistakes, it doesn’t seem like an easy thing to do.

Cancel culture

The harassment over her past mistakes reached the point where it’s gotten “overwhelming” for her.

Alinity, like her fellow online personality Pewdiepie, believes cancel culture may be taking things too far.

She got up close and personal with her viewers on July 2, and also talked about the recent passing of streamer Reckful who was known to struggle with depression.

“The s**t you guys say really affects people, okay? You guys have no idea how many times I’ve wanted to kill myself. How many times I’ve spent my entire night, trying to figure how I was going to end my life. I just want you guys to know, it’s really serious. You guys can’t just send hoards of hate towards somebody without it having an effect on a person.”

Breaking down in tears, the Twitch star explains how people just won’t let go of her past mistakes  no matter how many apologies she makes.

“I just don’t know what to do. Do I just stop streaming? Is that the only way that people are ever going to leave me alone?”

Addressing a chat comment that read “just accept you made a mistake,” she says:

“I have! I have! Chat, do I really have to read thousands and thousands of messages a day of the mistakes I’ve made in my past? Is that really what I have to do? You can’t just say ignore the trolls!”

She also brought up the subject of YouTuber Jenna Marbles, who decided to quit her channel over problematic past videos.

“And so what? I quit streaming, then trolls learn that if you harass somebody long enough, you’re gonna make them quit. That’s the whole thing about a cancel culture. That’s what happened to Jenna Marbles,”

Persistent harassment impacts streamers more than what meets the eye.

They may smile and pretend everything’s normal on their broadcasts, but we never know what’s happening behind closed doors.

“I just wanted you guys to know that no matter how strong a person appears, this s**t affects them, okay? There are some days [that are] harder than others, and I know that I appear really strong, but this really affects people. It really does.”

Stay strong, Alinity!
