CouRage leaves Twitch to stream exclusively on YouTube

Popular Streamer CouRage announced he’s making the move from Twitch to Youtube, heading to broadcast exclusively on the platform.

This major decision happened shortly after Twitch saw fellow big stars like Ninja, Shroud, and KingGothalion make the move to the rival platform Mixer.

Just a few days before his departure from Twitch, he urged his fans to “be ready” for an official announcement.

There’s been a growing speculation surrounding the 100 Thieves team memberā€™s alleged move. Initially, fans speculated he’d make the move to Mixer just like his fellow big-shot streamersā€” but apparently not.

Instead, Jack ā€˜CouRageā€™ Dunlop announced an exclusive partnership with Google-owned platform YouTube on November 4.

This announcement came in the form of a comical skit video where he acted out scenes from different TV shows such as Jack’s Anatomy (Grey’s Anatomy), CouRage Five-Nine (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and even had his own ASMR channel to jump on the trend.

Fellow streamers Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter were his co-stars for the film. They acted as though CouRage was leaving the organization, not Twitch in particular, thus rewarded him with a cheeky slap in the face for “scaring” them.

His debut stream on Youtube Gaming would be on November 5, just a day after his big announcement.

Fans and his streamer friends congratulated CouRage on the big announcement and departure from Twitch.

YouTube icon MrBeast tweeted in response to the news:

WELCOME!” “I LOVE YOU!

To which the 100T star replied:

I LOVE YOU MORE! I’m going to randomly show up at your house to be in one of your challenge videos.

Famous Fortnite icon Tfue also shared his excitement for the streamer’s new journey.

Congrats Jack! I love you, and Iā€™m excited for the first stream!

“Thanks, Turner! It’s lit.” CouRage tweeted in response.

This exclusive deal makes CouRage the latest Twitch star to jump ships and make contracts with rival platforms. He currently holds over 2M followers on his Twitch channel where he’s famous for playing action and adventure-packed games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Minecraft.

In the midst of the on-going platform wars between Twitch-Mixer-Youtube is the presence of Facebook Gaming, but they havenā€™t really quite entered the picture in this latest escalation yet.

Other streaming sites such as DLive and Caffeine are trying to get in on the action too.

The new Youtube star thanked everyone for the overwhelming positive response on this major transition:

Thank you so much for all the wonderful messages and support today.

To say this YouTube move is life changing is an understatement. 5 years ago I was an unpaid intern and now I’m able to support my family in ways I could never imagine.

I’ll never forget this moment.

Many are excited to see how this new chapter of CouRage’s streaming journey will fare for him.
