Fall Guys season 2 officially drops on Oct. 8

Brace yourselves, Fall Guys fans!

Developer Mediatonic recently revealed the start dates for Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout Season 2 on PS4 and PC soon.

The highly-anticipated second season will begin on Thursday, October 8th.

Season 2

Players and fans alike have a lot in store for them in October. The game’s second season has been in the works since August and now, it’s almost ready to be dropped across all platforms.

With such a short window until its PS4 and PC release, Mediatonic began sharing what new features will be included and improvements for gamers to expect.

This time, there will be no waiting around needed for players based on various platforms, as the next update will have a unified launch schedule!

The announcement has been confirmed in an official tweet:

“Announcing dates always feels like you’re cursing things, but it’s Halloween month, so let’s get cursed!

🔥 Season 2 launches on Thursday 8th October 🔥

Season 1 will now end as Season 2 begins and we’re going to DOUBLE fame points during this time! 👀”

Medieval theme

Mediatonic has previously confirmed that the new Fall Guys Season will feature medieval-themed stages, exclusive skins, and other in-game improvements.

The reveal trailer further adds: “Fall Guys Season 2 will bring the dragon fire with feudal fortresses, knockout knights and pugilistic paladins among new additions coming this October.”

“A full season of new costumes, emotes and more will reward players as they lay siege to the Middle Ages.”

To date, there has been no hint for the hyped party game to release on any new platforms during Season 2. Many players expect this to last for the remainder of 2020.

Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout is not free-to-download for PS Plus players anymore. Following its PlayStation debut, the game has returned to normal pricing at $19.99.

The game is currently only made available to play on PS4 and Steam, but there’s a number of Xbox One and Switch gamers waiting for their chance to have a go at the popular party game.

Fall Guys proves to be a massive hit in the gaming scene. The multiplayer party game can cater up to 60 players online in a free-for-all struggle through round after round of escalating, fun, and color-filled chaos until a victor remains.

The colorful bean-based battle royale title became the most-downloaded PlayStation Plus game back during its August launch, and earned 7 Million sales on Steam.

Even if active player numbers have dipped slightly on Steam, there’s still a great opportunity awaiting for Fall Guys if they venture into new platforms.

Fortunately, the development team hasn’t ruled out the idea of bringing the game to other platforms completely. Fans may have to wait a while for future updates, though.
