Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6: A subway system and new characters

Are you ready for new operators and a subway system on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare?

Season 6 will introduce all these and more to join the first-person shooter video game franchise!

New reveal trailer

In a new reveal trailer, Modern Warfare fans were treated with a first glimpse at the game’s upcoming sixth season.

Two familiar characters from the famed campaign will make their debut as playable operators in Modern Warfare and Warzone. Additionally, a brand new underground train system will also be included in Warzone.

The season six cinematic features Nikolai activating a train in a subway system as Farah covers him from the enemies.

The pair then speak with Captain Price as they head towards the battlefield to (possibly) help capture or kill Zakhaev, the primary antagonist in Modern Warfare.

The trailer just confirms the addition of the two characters to multiplayer and Warzone. Aside from that, it also indicates a new subway system being introduced to the Warzone map to spice things up.

Subway system?

A map of Verdansk was shown at the end of the video teaser, which features a subway system that will form a loop around the entire map.

Warzone players can access the system from seven different entrances at several key locations.

For instance, the game’s new subway system can be accessed through the east of the Stadium, which was leaked in a gameplay clip during the Call of Duty League Championship in August.

It remains unclear whether Warzone players can navigate the underground tunnels by foot or they’ll be required to ride the train to access the area.

Nevertheless, the addition of the subway system in Warzone will definitely change the majority of players’ strategy towards any Battle Royale match.

New characters

Farah Karim and Nikolai will be the latest characters to be included as operators in Modern Warfare.

Classic characters like Captain Price, Ghost, Gaz, and Alex have already made their appearance in previous seasons. Most notably, fans have been waiting for Farah’s highly-anticipated debut.

Farah is shown killing an enemy with a Molotov cocktail in the teaser video, which could suggest it’s one of her unique executions.

Both new operators will have three unique outfits, most likely to receive more as season six progresses.

Read more information about the new characters on the official Activision blog post:

Farah: “The founder and Commander of the Urzikstani Liberation Force, Farah, grew up a fighter after surviving imprisonment by Roman Barkov. She’s an exceptional soldier and leader that’s known a lifetime of war. Her skills have been further honed with additional training with the SAS, and she’s led dangerous missions to fight off Al-Qatala forces and other regimes stationed in her country.”

Nikolai: “Nikolai is the leader of the Chimera, a PMC within the Allegiance. A long-time friend to Captain Price, Nikolai initially worked with Price, Kamarov, and Kate Laswell to build the Armistice to stop the rise of a new AQ. After the Armistice collapse, Nikolai now takes the battle in his own hands to stop Zakhaev.”

Farah can be immediately unlocked at Tier 0 of the Season 6 Battle Pass. Meanwhile, Nikolai will be available at Tier 100.

Players may also opt to complete operator missions to unlock different versions of character skins.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone’s Season 6 launched on September 29.
