After a rather silent month from YouTuber and cosmetic guru Jeffree Star, the celebrity is back to spill some tea about the recent drama he’s involved in.
In particular, he dishes out on his ex Andre Marhold after their high-profile romance was involved in a whirlwind of controversies.
He also talked about the fake accounts posing as his ex, twisting his side of the story and spreading false rumors.
Setting the record straight
Jeffree Star recently made his return to YouTube in hopes of setting the record straight about the drama he’s involved in.
With over 17.2 million subscribers, Star had to set his name in the clear.
This year hadn’t been plain-sailing for the make-up mogul, especially with his split from long-time boyfriend Nathan Schwandt at the beginning of 2020.
Since then, he has been involved in various controversies including a public backlash on his ORGY make-up palette, receipts of apparent racist behavior, and lies involving James Charles and Tati Westbrook.
The most recent controversy would have to be his public and messy split with Andre Marhold, as Star divulges how the professional basketball player robbed him of his designer items.
“Then, all of a sudden, there’s some LV luggage missing… There’s some backpacks missing, and there’s a few sunglasses missing.”
Public accusations
Star took the strong accusations to Instagram publicly, which then prompted a bunch of false accounts posing as Marhold to share controversial photos such as STD medications, claiming these are from the YouTuber.
These began a number of rumors about Jeffree Star’s sexual health.
One of these poser accounts even personally messaged Star, saying that the entire relationship was all just a “game”.
Since then, the YouTuber publicly denounced the truth of these accusations. He was tight-lipped about how their relationship ended up in such a messy way, but he recently opened up about it in a recent upload titled “I’m NEVER dating again.. we need to talk.”
He broke his silence on YouTube, where he went to set the record straight amid the numerous rumors.
“I was recently hanging out with someone, but we are not hanging out anymore.”
He made it clear that he saw no future with his ex, who apparently had a habit of swiping various things. He also confirmed that Marhold is currently being prosecuted for his stealing.
On fake accounts
Star’s witch hunt doesn’t stop there. He also went after the false accounts, saying that “the internet is a little cuckoo at the moment.”
The people involved behind the poser accounts, who spread negative lies about the YouTuber, were also caught by the police— as Star claims.
“Thank God for IP addresses and law enforcement.”
In a promise to fans to give them a full life update, he also revealed that his pet dog (Diva) was diagnosed with cancer.
He also gave fans a tour of his latest home renovations, promising that he will be back to his regular uploads soon.
