Pewdiepie Takes One Last Hurrah Before Officially Going into Indefinite Hiatus

Youtube icon Pewdiepie has officially began his Youtube hiatus, an announcement he made last December 2019 that shocked thousands of his fans.

It’s undeniable how Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has been working hard on uploading fresh new content for the last 10 years.

Now, it’s only fitting he’s taking a long-awaited break from his daily uploads. But as it turns out, he’s not necessarily keen on taking this hiatus.

He revealed his plans to take a break from Youtube in mid-December. This would take a major turn from the Youtuber’s usual daily video uploads.

His plans are rather vague, though.

Although he announced he’d be taking a break in 2020, Kjellberg didn’t really specify for how long this hiatus is going to be. As of the moment, no one knows how long he’d be gone from the platform.

His January 15 upload became his last hurrah before saying goodbye — at least for now.

He titled the video as “It’s been real, but I’m out!“, sharing to his fans that he’s taking his long-awaited break at last.

Pewds also shared how he’s a little wary of stepping back from Youtube for a while.

“Guys… We did it. After 10 years, I’m finally taking a break. This is the last video.”

Clarifying the rumors of him quitting Youtube for real, he continued in an instant:

“No, I’m not quitting, media! As much as you want it.”

The news of Pewdiepie’s break was taken out of context and sensationalized by the press. The Youtuber has made it clear though— this wasn’t his final goodbye.

Pewds’ love for making fun content exceeds his need to step back and relax. Perhaps he’s grown used to it, or he has tight schedules he’s keen on meeting by the day.

Nonetheless, the streamer made a decision to stray away from temptation to take his much-needed mental and physical break from the constant pressure of work.

“One thing I really realized is like, I love making videos, and I love interacting with you guys… It’s really fun. But I think this year, there’s just been so much piling up that I’m like, ‘I should probably just cool down for a bit.’ And then, we’ll come back with 10,000 percent!”

Fans have been supportive of his decision to step back from his hectic Youtube video activities for a while:

“Have a good much deserved break Pewds! See you when you get back. 🍾🥂👍”
“have fun pewds, enjoy your break.”
“Im gonna miss you man 👊🏻 “Bro Fist” You were the father I never had😂😂 Literally”
“Have a great year! We will be here when you get back :D”

2019 had been rather hectic for the Youtuber. It’s only understandable how he needs an ample amount of time to “cool down” from all the messy drama.

The said video has over 9.2M views as of writing.

Goodbye and see you soon, Pewdiepie!
