Rocket League and Fortnite announce official crossover in new Llama-Rama event

Fortnite world domination? It seems like the Epic Games’ BR title is leaving its mark everywhere— even in the Rocket League arena.

Fans are in for a treat as Rocket League and Fortnite announced a crossover in the brand new Llama-Rama event.

Rocket League Llama Rama

Psyonix announced that Rocket League’s free-to-play update, Llama-Rama, will feature a Fortnite-inspired event.

Fans can now unlock the Battle Bus in the game, which is the newest car joining the Rocket League lineup when the Llama-Rama event starts on Sept. 26 until October 12.

Players may complete various in-game events that are a bit unique for Rocket League’s style.

Upon grinding these event challenges, players will be rewarded with specific event items from the challenge menu. Only upon completing them all can players unlock the Battle Bus.

Rocket League took it to Twitter to announce “Llama-Rama” as the first event in the free to play update.

This exclusive collaboration with hyped BR title Fortnite brings the Battle Bus into Rocket League with a set of challenges, items, and excitement.

“A brand new in-game event, Llama-Rama, begins this weekend! Complete Challenges to unlock the entire set of new items, including the Battle Bus!”

With Rocket League being on Epic Games client, it’s easy to implement cross-game rewards.

Players who will take part in the Llama-Rama event can earn rewards in both Fortnite and Rocket League — which is like hitting two birds with a single stone!

Listed below are the items that can be unlocked once the event begins, though there’s still a great chance of some additional content:

  • Llama Flyer Antenna
  • Top Llama Topper
  • Llama Wheels
  • Loot Llama Decal (Octane)
  • Battle Bus
    • Balloon Antenna
    • Battle Bus Wheels

Fans can expect more details about the challenges and any additional items once the Llama-Rama event goes live on Sept. 26.

The free-to-play update will drop on Sept. 23 featuring new additions such as cross-platform game progression and an official date reveal for the game’s Competitive Seasons, Tournaments, and the Rocket Pass.
